ALBANY – Local governments across New York will soon be able to install cameras that automatically ticket drivers who illegally pass school buses with their stop signs out.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a bill into law Tuesday allowing cities, towns, villages and counties to put the camera system into place for the next five years if they tin strike a deal with their local school districts.
